The Senior Environmental Studies Seminar class of 2014 hopes this website will be a space to spread information and facilitate collaboration between individuals and groups working towards a more sustainable Kenyon community.

From a ride-share forum, which allows students to easily organize carpools around the area and save on gas and emissions, to our maps of trash, recycling, and peirce pickup stations that encourage responsible re-use and disposal,we attempt to facilitate conscious environmental behavior on campus.

Other resources include contact information and a history of all the major environmental efforts currently in progress or recently completed at Kenyon. We hope this will encourage more communication between environmental groups and projects, and facilitate real and sustainable change on campus.

 about

"I want to be with people who submerge in the task, who go into the fields to harvest and work in a row and pass the bags along, who are not parlor generals and field deserters but move in a common rhythm when the food must come in or the fire be put out.The work of the world is common as mud. Botched, it smears the hands, crumbles to dust. But the thing worth doing well done has a shape that satisfies, clean and evident."

—Marge Piercy

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

- Margaret Mead
